About this game

In Highwind you control a paper plane using only two buttons. You will destroy enemy planes and protect your own. Tapping the right side of the screen will shoot bullets and holding the left side will activate the shield. The shield blocks and reflects bullets back to your enemies.

Fight different enemy planes and obstacles, each with different behavior. Travel to different dimensions and avoid obstacles on the way.

As you progress through the game you will be able to purchase upgrades to your health, shield and ammo. Also, each time you beat a level you will get a power up that will help you defeat your enemies.
Each time you play you will accumulate points that will unlock new planes and new game styles. Try to beat the game in each one of the different styles!

A unique take on a shooter. Overall the game is very good. Fun yet challenging with various modes of gameplay. You can unlock new planes, each with its own abilities. The only thing I dislike about the game is when you die you lose your money. I have yet to be able to upgrade my health (200 gold). Money doesn't come easy in the game, but that's part of the challenge. Great job developers.

Very repetitive gameplay. Even with variety the levels start feeling very samey. The inbetween segments feel very pointless as the risk is always greater than the reward, and one wrong move costs you any chance of upgrading. Also, don't know if its intentional, but I've been hit behind my ship a few times now, and it feels really cheap. Very middle of the road game.

Not a terrible game especially for the price but it suffers from a lack of variety making it pretty stale after the initial learning curve. The endless mode is the most obvious example of that; once you reach the 5th level, you just play it over and over again without any increase in difficulty and then you either die because you stopped paying attention or you lost on purpose to end the game, more of a test of patience than a real challenge. Cute game and interesting concept though.
